Quality Engineer who can work in the Pacific Time Zone
auticon is hiring a Quality Engineer who can work in the Pacific Time Zone. If you have an autism diagnosis and are experienced with quality assurance automation, we want to hear from you!
As a Quality Engineer at auticon, you will help our clients with creating solutions and building products. auticon is a unique autism-friendly technology consulting company. The nature of our consulting work means that as a Quality Engineer, you could work on a variety of projects using different skills and be working in either scrum teams or agile pods across multiple teams and/or clients. You will be working remotely from anywhere in the US but will need to be available for monthly+ late night Pacific time releases (as late as 11pm or Midnight pacific)

Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years on the job experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium and Cucumber
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Software Quality Assurance experience
- Web Services testing experience, preferably with SoapUI or SOAtest
- Ability to work effectively on a globally dispersed team
- Ability to read and enhance scripts/code
- Solid understanding of the software development process including planning, analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, and problem resolution
- Review and analyze client-specific functional requirements
- Analyze functional and technical system design for testability
- Collaborate with project team to understand and prioritize testing efforts
- Working closely with various professional services teams and clients as new business models are constructed, analyzed, deployed, debugged, etc.
- Define test scenarios, create test plans, and participate in the definition and execution of automated and manual test scripts
- Mine and manipulate test data in support of test cases for multiple or complex projects
- Document expected results
- Contributing to the test effort as a member of an agile team across various development projects
- In collaboration with the scrum team, adhere to deliverables in the sprint schedule
- Document and report on testing issues (using tool selected by client)
- Define system regression tests for future projects and for ongoing regression efforts
- Identify defects in multiple environments and throughout all phases of the development life cycle
- Support production verification and validation
- Experience with Salesforce a plus
- Work in conjunction with all functional groups to identify potential future improvements to the overall quality process, requirements gathering and documentation
- Desire to learn new skills and open to working across different areas of software and data
- With support from your auticon Job Coach and Delivery Manager, able to work in agile environments in client teams and with changes to project focus
Examples of What You’ll Do
- With the support of your auticon Job Coach, Delivery Manager, and Learning and Development Coach, you will work with our client’s team to build solutions for their products and services
- Design, develop, and test front end, back end, services, batch, streaming, or other software (with the exact of work balance depending on your career goals and the project)
- Own the quality of the solutions you create through unit testing, automated testing, and supporting your solutions both before and after they’re in production (with the exact balance depending on your career goals and the project)
- Contribute to a productive agile environment by partnering closely with necessary stakeholders, deploying often, and inspecting and adapting as needed
- Share and receive feedback and knowledge to help our clients improve their systems and products
