auticon promotes three, increasing neurodiversity in leadership team
auticon announces the promotion of three of its leadership team members, including two who are on the autism spectrum.
WOODLAND HILLS, California, May 11, 2021 – auticon, a leading technology consultancy that employs adults on the autism spectrum, today announced the promotion of three of its leadership team members, including two who are on the autism spectrum.
As a technology consultancy, auticon recognizes that adults on the autism spectrum often have higher education in STEM and the talents for a career in technology. Despite this, many find it difficult to secure or maintain employment. To help them succeed, auticon pairs its technology consultants with job coaches who provide a compassionate management style. auticon views the employment of its consultants as a win-win-win for clients, the autism community, and society.
Headquartered in Los Angeles County, the company is rapidly expanding with new locations in Salt Lake City and Columbus, Ohio, where it is hiring roles for autistic adults in data science, software development, and Salesforce Administration.
“We recognize our role in making neurodiversity a buzz word among diversity and inclusion clients,” said auticon US CEO David Aspinall, “but going beyond the buzz means recognizing talent when we see it, and we are pleased to employ neurodiverse leadership team at auticon; we are stronger for it.”
Isha Dash has been promoted to Chief Customer Officer, where she will collaborate closely with auticon’s clients to ensure customer success and growth. For her team of technology consultants – all on the autism spectrum – Isha manages technology projects of various domains, scopes and sizes, and collaborates with client engineering and product development teams. Isha joined the organization in 2014 as a Quality Assurance Project Manager before being promoted to Director of Operations. She holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.
Mark Fister has been promoted to Chief Technologist, where he will leverage his vast technology expertise to help auticon’s consultants succeed on the job. This includes collaborating with clients to identify technical solutions for which the company can deploy its consulting teams. As an autistic adult, Mark enjoys the opportunity to mentor his team of autistic technology consultants, who he views as being meticulous, focused, loyal, open, honest, and direct in their work. Before joining auticon in 2020, Mark excelled in tech and leadership roles at many companies, including eBay, PayPal, Dell, and IBM.
Louise Stone has been promoted to Head of Recruiting and Community Partnerships, where she will take a hands-on approach to staff client projects with autistic talent. Through direct relationships with regional centers, universities, and the autism community, Louise – who is also on the autism spectrum – guides candidates through an informal and low-stress interview process tailored for autistic adults, who often struggle with traditional recruitment processes. Louise joined auticon in 2020 with a background in sales and operations. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Occidental College.
